Hillary Clinton media blackout? Or Hillary's failings...

Too busy working hard while Obama continues to campaign for President of the world, Hillary Clinton tends to be out of the spotlight. So she finally makes an appearance to explain to the American people what the hell is going on abroad and the news does whatever they can to pretend she doesn't exist, and if she does, that she sucks. And of course there was Obama making a speech about healthcare and the exact time as Hillary's speech, but what's new, the master of changing headlines cannot stand to be overshadowed by a woman.

I'm at work, and I thought her speech was at 1pm, so i turned on my phone tv, nothing there. Checked on msnbc, no word. Cnn, no word. Back to msnbc, a small update. back to cnn, an article that makes it seem like she's feeling neglected and wigging out. Call your network, tell them they're full of shit, and cancel your cable. Just my 2 cents. Don't give these assholes 1 more penny.

And no word on Hillary blogs either.

And zero word about it on the MSM. I guess Hillary really is gone after all. How truly sad. It turns out the only women that get put on the news are murdered ones or controversial limelight seekers like Sarah Palin. That's it. I give up.

But then again, Hillary is the one who scheduled it during POTUS confirmation. Which means she didn't even bother trying to speak to the American People. She is the one who stopped short on following through with the American people on what is going on now in Iran and in Honduras, after it was SHE who helped put together the mediation between Zaleya and the other dude.

Hillary Clinton has let me down for the last time. She could have stayed senator and had her input on healthcare. She could have stayed and been able to criticize this TOTUS. But she left us all, paired up with a sinister know-nothing race card playing tool, and doesn't even bother to tell the people what is going on abroad. She let Obama take her out of any domestic shaping agenda. She cannot stick up for people in the United States. I couldn't be more dissapointed. The American people have been abandoned, people in NY are left with novices like gillibrand. Why in the heck would she be SOS anyway? It has nothing to do with her experience. Nothing. Not to mention her declining status and lessening political capital in position of SOS means leaders of foreign nations will spend more and more time with Himbo of the United States of America, and our standing in the world will be yet again measured by the clown we have for president. Multiple fail on Hillary's part.

Well, I was able to access the CSpan feed at my desk. In all fairness to Hillary, I think we should remember that scheduling is not entirely up to her. Like her Town Halls at State on Friday and USAID on Monday, this was targeting a specific community that was not the American people (as much as we may want to see ALL of her speeches, which I DO!).

The Council on Foreign Relations, http://www.cfr.org/, is a think tank, a private organization with its own mission, and as such was the host to Hillary's presence today. Surely their auspices were heavily involved in negotiating a time that would be most convenient for their members. My take is that Hillary felt she should outline some of the same plans, philosophies, and policies she explained to her own bureaus and agencies also to this very influential group who have the potential to act as consultants to the government, but also are potential adversaries if her plans are not clear to them.

I noticed that she said the same thing to all three groups: That when she tells the American people that we need to spend tax money, in these hard times, on diplomacy and foreign aid, we she wants us to understand the role of these expenditures in the well-being of the country and its people. The implication is that she has not YET said these things to us, and that she wanted them to understand this in advance of any statements she might make to the citizens.

I understand this to mean that she does plan to address the American people, but that this was not that address.

Annie, I know you love Hillary, so please don't go away mad. You and I know she is very methodical. She is touching all the bases in her typical fashion. When she has touched all the bases, she will establish a time and manner for communicating her ideas and policies to all of us. Trust her (I know you do).

This was a major speech, for sure, because unlike the earlier two audiences, these folks do do work for her, but they do have to work with her and understand her agenda.

The large American population is her employer. I don't think anyone is more aware of that than HRC herself. She will explain herself to all of us, but first, to ensure that all her team and all potential critics understand how her baby, "smart power" is meant to work.

Keep your faith is her, Annie. She has never let us down.

Then i'll wait for that time, and if it comes, that will be nice, but until then, in all honesty, she can take a hike. :(

Still, you're right about her comments not being intented for the American People. what a boring-ass speech, lol. Way too specific, but not specific for my taste, definitely for a specific audience.

Annie, LOL!

Well these are the potential talking heads who, by virtue of letters after their names can come on TV and shoot her down and rally Americans against her. I think she felt it was important to reach out to them (after touching base with her own folks - that QDDR is going to mean big shifts) so that the ground under nher is solid when she explains herself to US.

But she will do that. You know she will.

Hey still, I amended my entry to say a bit more about my dissapointment. She let the American people down because she needs to be voicing her opinion on healthcare. The american people have NO ONE high profile to talk about healthcare. And Bill Clinton is also to blame in my opinion, he pushed her to take the position of SOS. It's bullshit. She could have voiced her opinion on domestic issues when we needed it most, and Bill could have done tons with his Clinton Global Initiative, now neither of them can do either of those things. That's pathetic.
